PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sizing method and a sizing apparatus to improve the circularity of the inside diameter of a circular hole part or the outside diameter of a shaft part of a circular section of a sintered metal formed body. SOLUTION: The sintered metal formed body 15 stored in a sizing die 5 is disposed between an upper punch 4 and a lower punch 3 of a pressing apparatus, a core rod 7 rotated by an electric motor 12 is inserted in the circular hole part of the sintered metal formed body 15, and the metal formed body 15 is pressed by the upper punch 4 and the lower punch 3.
