PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid detergent composition having excellent detergency and excellent storage stability. SOLUTION: This liquid detergent composition comprises (a) an alkyl ethoxysulfate of general formula (I) R1O-(CH2CH2O)n1-SO3M (I) or its salt (R1 is a 6-24C straight-chain/branched-chain primary alkyl or alkenyl group; n1 is an average number of addition mols of ethylene oxide(EO) and is 1-6; M is hydrogen, an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, an alkanolamine or ammonium) (the component (a) contains plural EO adducts, mass % of an adduct in which number of addition mols of EO is 0 does no show the maximum in the whole adducts, the amount of EO adduct shows the maximum is 15-35 mass % and the total of EO adducts of number of mols larger and smaller than the EO adduct of the maximum is 55-75 mass %), (b) one or more kinds of polyvalent metal ions of Mg, Ca, Al, Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Ag and Zn and (c) a carboxylic acid type chelating agent.
