PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract second or more harmonic components relative to fundamental wave components of received echo signals without deteriorating an S/N ratio of a receiver system. SOLUTION: An ultrasonograph is provided with an ultrasonic probe 3 transmitting ultrasonic signals of a prescribed transmission frequency toward a diagnosis part inside a subject and receiving the ultrasonic echo signals, a first amplifier circuit group 5 amplifying the ultrasonic echo signals received by the ultrasonic probe 3 by a prescribed amplification factor, a high pass filter group 6 extracting second or more harmonic components relative to the fundamental wave components of the received frequency from the ultrasonic echo signals amplified by the first amplifier circuit group 5 by a prescribed filter characteristics, and a second amplifier circuit group 7 amplifying the higher harmonic components extracted by the high pass filter group 6 as the signals related to the imaging of the diagnosis part at a prescribed amplification factor.
