PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective broad spectrum antimicrobial compound having active form, capable of readily synthesizing, effective to microorganisms in broad range and not exhibiting undesirable adverse effect. SOLUTION: The present invention provides indolicidin analogs, which are tryptophan-rich peptides that have substantially the same amino acid sequence as naturally occurring indolicidin, exhibit broad spectrum antimicrobial activity and have antimicrobial selectivity as compared with naturally occurring indolicidin.
