METHOD FOR PRODUCING DRIED COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dried composition having preferable characteristics such as the long-term sustainability of desirable dry condition because the pharmacological activity of an active component hardly deteriorates and also deliquescence does not occur even when left to stand under the condition of high humidity. SOLUTION: This dried composition is produced by the following processes: (a) dissolving both of a pharmacologically active component such as interferon and a hydrophobic stabilizer having a hydropathy index of 3.8 to 4.5 in water or in a mixed solvent of water with a lower alcohol; and (b) freeze-drying the resultant solution.
