[Also in Division D2] In the examples, compositions for a colour layer of a pressure-sensitive record sheet (see Division D2) comprise: (a) polyvinyl acetate, (b) polyvinyl acetal, or (c) both, with pigment and ethyl alcohol; (d) polyethylene, titanium dioxide, soot and perchlorethylene; compositions for the cover layer comprise: (a) titanium dioxide and aluminium silicate or (b) titanium dioxide, silicon spar and aluminium spar with, in either case, polyvinylidene chloride and water; compositions for coating the reverse side comprise: (a) polyethylene, chlorodiphenyl resin and polyvinyl methyl ether; and (b) polyethylene, polyvinyl ethyl ether and rosin ester resin. Polyvinylidene chloride is said to be a copolymer of 85% of vinylidene chloride and 15% of vinyl chloride and to be readily dispersible in water. |
