PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent spatters from splashing by making the follow-up property of a movable electrode tip 11 satisfactory to the penetration of a work in the one constituted of the drive unit 6 of the movable electrode tip 11 of a stationary type welding equipment by a motor driven system drive unit whose drive source is a servomotor 8. SOLUTION: The drive unit 6 is allowed to freely movably up and down support by a support frame 5 fixed on a supporter 4 erected on a base by energizing the drive unit 6 by an energizing means 14 downward in the pressing direction of the work. Also, a regulation means 16 is provided, which regulates the upward movement of the drive unit 6 to the support frame 5 in a position where the upward movement has been set higher than a position where the energizing force of the energizing means 14 becomes equal to the set pressure force of the work at the time of indirect welding, and the comparatively high pressure force of the work, which is suitable for regular spot welding, can be obtained.
