The invention comprises fibre-reactive disazo dyes of formula wherein M is a cation, A is a fibre-reactive aromatic acyl residue capable of forming at least one covalent bond with a cellulosic or polyamide substrate, X is H or alkyl and Y is H, alkyl or alkoxy. The dyes are prepared by condensing the corresponding aminodisazo dyes with reactive components such as halo-pyrimidines, halotriazines, o-halo-nitrobenzoic acids, halopyrimidine carbonyl halides, haloquinoxaline carbonyl halides or halobenzthiazole carbonyl halides. The dyes yield yellowish-red to red shades on cellulose fibres by the usual reactive dyeing processes.
