CLEANING METHOD OF HYDROCARBON-OIL TREATING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cleaning and removing effectively and at low cost sludge found in respective equipment in a hydrocarbon treating apparatus, by a simple operation, safely and without causing pollution. SOLUTION: A washing oil comprising a light-oil fraction of a boiling point of 150-480 deg.C which is obtained in a petroleum refining process is introduced into equipment to be cleaned and circulated, and the washing oil is partly extracted out of the system and a surfactant is introduced into the equipment when an accumulated amount of the cleaning oil introduction has become at least 1.5 times as large as the inside volume of the equipment to remove the sludge.
