PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a fail-safe function with reference to an idling stop controlling device. SOLUTION: This idling stop controlling device comprises; first and second neutral detecting means 12a, 12b arranged in parallel and detecting a neutral position of a transmission, a fault determining means 4 for determining that either one of the neutral detecting means is out of order if two detected results are different; by comparing detected information from the two neutral detecting means 12a, 12b, and a fault controlling means 5 for stopping idling stop control if the fault of the first and second neutral detecting means is determined.
