PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system for a elevator car capable of cleaning an illumination shielding plate without disassembling it. SOLUTION: A hole 9 for cleaning is provided in the side frame 6 of an illumination shielding plate 4, a first cleaning body 10 with a magnet 11 is inserted in this hole 9 for cleaning. A second cleaning body 13 with a magnet 14 is hit against a lower cover 8 while the first cleaning body 10 is moved with the movement of this second cleaning body 13. Thereby, the inside of the illumination shielding plate is cleaned.
