PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil releasing agent that show excellent soil-releasing effect on cellulosic fabrics. SOLUTION: A cationic compound represented by the following general formula (I) (wherein R1 is H or a 1-22C alkyl group; G is a monosaccharide unit ; R2 is a 1-22C alkylene group; R3, R4 and R5 are each a 1-6C alkyl group; n is a number of 1-4; X is an anion) is used as the objective soil-releasing agent or a detergent composition.
