PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for remarkably reducing medium color tone dot shifts, bandlike boundary cracks and bandings by utilizing image fixation elements and a product in a method for forming an image by laser heat and the product. SOLUTION: This method is for forming a colored image and consists of a step 1 for forming a colored image on an image accepting layer by transferring the exposed region of a thermally imageable layer to an accepter element, a step 2 for exposing the colored image on the image accepting layer of the accepter element, a step 3 for housing the colored image between the thermoplastic polymer layer and the image accepting layer of the accepter element, a step 4 for exposing the thermoplastic polymer layer and a step 5 for bringing the thermoplastic polymer layer exposed at the step 4 into contact with a permanent board.
