PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new fastener and retainer for a reel. SOLUTION: This fishing reel 10 including a crank handle 24 held at the screw end part of a crank shaft 40 by a mounting tool equipped with a nut 32 for fixing the crank handle 24 to the crank shaft 40 in a screw type, in which one end of the nut has a cross section of hexagonal shape and its another end has a part extended to the outside, has a plastic retainer for the nut, which has a first inside cavity 10 for housing the hexagonal part of the nut so as to capture the nut as non-rotatable relative to the retainer, a second inside cavity 132 for accepting the part extended to outside of the nut so as to fix the retainer to the nut on being accepted so as to be fit, a boss 138 projecting from the retainer and being housed to the inside of a hole of the crank handle so as to stop the rotation of the retainer relative to the crank handle and a smooth outer surface 140. |
