PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a seat back for a car when in use by maintaining the bearing rigidity of a pole guide to support a headrest in a stable manner. SOLUTION: In the seat back for a car wherein a seat back frame 1, in which a foamed material 3 is provided in a hollow molded item 2 formed by blow molding is providing and a pole guide 4 is mounted to the frame 1, the pole guide 4 is brought close to or into contact with the inner surface of the molded item 2 both at a position where the guide 4 is passed through the periphery 2b of the item 2 and at a position corresponding to the interior of the foamed material 3. With this arrangement, the pole guide 4 is firmly supported by the molded item 2 whose rigidity is higher than that of the foamed material 3 both at the position where the guide 4 is passed through the periphery 2b and at the position corresponding to the interior of the material 3, and hence the bearing strength of the pole guide 4 is improved so that the pole is prevented from being loosened, thus supporting a headrest 20 in a stable manner. |
