PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multistory parking system capable of preventing wear of sheave. SOLUTION: A multistory parking system 21 in which a plurality of parking shelves 22 are provided in a multistory manner, comprises a transfer machine 24 to transfer an automobile 23 to one of the parking shelves 22 after it goes up/down between the respective shelves 22, a wire 31 which is mounted in the machine 24 at its one end and suspends the machine 24, counterweights 33 mounted to the other end of the wire 31, a sheave 34 which supports the wire 31 between the one end and the other end of the wire 31 and lowers one of the counterweights 33 when the machine 24 and the other end of the counterweights 33 are raised, a rail 35 provided in an elevation passage 36 of the counterweights 33 along the vertical direction and supporting the counterweights 33 elevatably. The counterweights 33 are provided with a driver 37 to elevate the same along the rail 35.
