PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that smoothly discharges a recording medium on which an image is formed and prevents deterioration of image quality. SOLUTION: A guide unit 60 with a shape profiling a surface of a paper discharge guide 36 is disposed on the surface. The guide unit 60 comprises a paper discharge guide rib 70 in a substantially U-shape and a paper storing rib 80 in a substantially U-shaped. The paper discharge guide rib 70 and the paper storing rib 80 are formed by machining a metallic bar. The cross section of the bar is circular, but a bar with a triangle cross section may be used. The cross section has preferably such shape that a discharge part 16a line- contacts with the paper discharge guide rib 70 when the discharge part 16a is placed on the guide rib 70.
