PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the periphery of nozzles from being stained with ink, prevent ink from being undischarged from nozzles and eliminate an instability in an ink discharge direction. SOLUTION: A moving means 33 is set for quickly moving a head cap 9 when the head cap 9 moves to cover an outer periphery of the nozzle 17 at one position and moves from the position where the head cap 9 covers the outer periphery of the nozzle 17 to a position where the head cap frees the capping to the nozzle 17 at the other position.
