PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase speed of table sliding of a metal machine tool device. SOLUTION: An electromagnetic chuck characteristically has an electromagnet built in a ceramic box body which is a non-magnetic body on a metal machine tool device furnished with a support body having a guide surface provided on a bed, a table supported free to reciprocally slide by driving of a linear motor on the guide surface by having an engagement part to be positioned by the guide surface and the electromagnetic chuck of a work provided on the table.
