PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use in common a part of a case of an air conditioning unit in both a right-hand drive vehicle and a left-hand drive vehicle in a vehicle air conditioner disposed with the air conditioning unit in a nearly central position in the vehicle lateral direction and a blower unit on the front passenger side. SOLUTION: This air conditioner adopts a control method by a hot water valve 27 as a temperature control method for blowoff air to dispense with a guide for equalizing a blowoff air temperature. A division part A of the air conditioning case 20 vertically dividing the case 20 is disposed below a heating heat exchanger 25 and above an air inlet port 211, while the air inlet port 211 differently positioned in the right-hand drive vehicle and the left-hand drive vehicle is formed in a lower case 21. Thereby, upper cases 22a, 22b can be used in common in the right-hand drive vehicle and the left-hand drive vehicle.
