PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new epoch-making method for growing a plant. SOLUTION: This method for growing a plant, characterized by disposing a plant 1 in the ground, embedding perforated plates 2 having holes permitting the penetration of the roots 1a of the plant 1 in a scattered state around the plant-disposed position, and upward pulling out the perforated plates to cut the roots 1a of the plant 1, after the roots 1a of the plant 1 are penetrated in the holes of the perforated plates 2.
