PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling for a fuel injection device to shorten a time required for regulation of a feed amount of an adjusting pipe and control a feed amount with high precision. SOLUTION: An adjusting pipe 15 is pressed in down to a preset position so that an energizing force high enough to allow seating of a needle 12 at a valve seat 11a by rotating a motor 30 is generated through the force of a spring 14. From this state, a frequency fed to a coil 16 is varied as the adjusting pipe 15 is fed in a manner to hold a target flow rate. A feed of the adjusting pipe 15 is stopped when a frequency reaches a target value, and a control process is completed. A feed amount of the adjusting pipe 15 and a control current fed to the coil 16 are continuously changed and controlled, whereby a control time is shortened.
