PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multistory parking facility requiring no measurement of wear of sheaves and a building method therefor capable of building it without using a large crane. SOLUTION: A multistory parking facility 21 in which a plurality of parking shelves 22 are provided in a multistory manner is provided with a transfer machine 24 to transfer an automobile 23 to each shelf 22, and a rail 28 provided to surround and support the machine 24 so that it can be freely elevated. The machine 24 is provided with a driver to elevate the machine 24 along the rail 28. After the first floor is assembled with building materials conveyed by a crane (working machine), the machine 24 is elevated along the rail 28, and then the next floor above the first floor is assembled.
