PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently treating waste water in which solid particulates generated in a microelectronic industry field, etc., are suspended. SOLUTION: This method consists in treating the waste water (12) in the state suspended with the solid particulates (more particularly silica and/or alumina particulates). Lime (13) is fed into the waste water (12) and then a flocculating agent (14) is fed thereto. Next, the solid particulates (26) are separated in the centrifugal separator (7) and are discarded. The liquid (18) from which the solid particulate are removed in the manner described above is neutralized at need, is filtered in an ultrafiltration system (20) and is made into the refined water (30).
