PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively improve weather resistance and external design by uniformly forming a thin inorganic coating film on an inorganic plate material with joints. SOLUTION: The whole surface of the plate material is electrostatically coated with an inorganic coating material, which contains a silicon compound A represented by formula R1nSiX4-n, wherein R1 is a same or different substituted or unsubstituted 1-8C monovalent hydrocarbon group; n is an integer of 0-3; and X is a hydrolyzable group, a silicon compound B represented by formula R2aSi(OH)bO(4-a-b)/2, wherein R2 is a same or different substituted or unsubstituted 1-8C monovalent hydrocarbon group; (a) and (b) are each a number to satisfy relations 0.2<=a<=2, 0.0001<=b<=3, and a+b<4, and a curing catalyst C, and which is prepared by diluting the components A, B, C with a solvent compatible with them. Then, the joint parts of the plate material is subjected to airless spray coating by using a coating material, which contains the components A, B, C, and is prepared by diluting with the solvent at a dilution ratio higher than that of the electrostatic coating.
