PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate which can enhance the wall strength of a bearing wall and a method for construction of the bearing wall using the same. SOLUTION: According to the method for construction using the plate 20, the plate 20 is interposed between nails 19a and 19b and structural plywood 18 and fixed to a sill 12 by the nails. Even when a horizontal force is applied to the bearing wall formed by stretching the structural plywood 18 over a framework made up of the sill 12, pillars 14 and a horizontal member 16, a stress caused thereby or the like is prevented from being given only to the nails 19a in the corner parts 18b of the structural plywood 18 and can be dispersed to the other nails 19b by the plate 20, since the plate 20 having the rigidity higher than that of the structural plywood 18 is interposed between the nails 19a and 19b and the plywood 18 and fixed to the sill 12 by the nails. Accordingly, loosening of the nails 19a fixing the corner parts 18b due to this stress or the like is suppressed, while such a situation that the structural plywood 18 comes off from the sill 12 can be suppressed, and thus the wall strength of the bearing wall can be enhanced.
