PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording head in which throughput is enhanced while reducing ink consumption by stripping a bubble adhering to the wall face of a common liquid chamber thereby decreasing the number of times of recovery processing. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording head comprises a plurality of elements generating energy for ejecting liquid drops, liquid drop ejection openings, and a common liquid chamber having openings for supplying liquid to the plurality of ejection energy generating elements and communicating with the ejection energy generating elements through that openings, wherein a movable member is provided in the vicinity of the liquid supply opening in the common liquid chamber where a bubble adheres easily.
