PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the quantity of heat generated from a heater at a substantially constant level regardless temperature variation through a simple arrangement. SOLUTION: The recording head comprises a heater 301, an MOS transistor 302 for driving the heater, a logic circuit 111 for switching the voltage being applied to the gate of the MOS transistor according to a transmitted recording signal, and a correction circuit 117. The correction circuit 117 comprises an MOS transistor 119 having the same temperature characteristics as the MOS transistor 302 and increases the voltage of a power supply line 116 depending on the temperature rise in the recording head such that the current driving force of the MOS transistor 302 is kept at a substantially constant level.
