PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens polishing system that shortens a correcting time, eliminates correction failure, improves production yield, records automatically correction and forms a LAN remote controllable. SOLUTION: This system comprises a lens receiving dish 2 adapted to place a lens 1 thereon, a rotating function 3 for the lens receiving dish 2, a grinding wheel 4, an arm part 8 adapted to hold a long stick holder 7 capable of engaging with and pivoting on center of the grinding wheel 4, and a spindle 9 vertical- rotatably at the base of the arm part 8. The system has a vertically reciprocating mechanism 10 capable of pressing the grinding wheel 4 to grind the lens 1, a driving part 6a for variably positioning the grinding wheel 4 via a horizontally reciprocating mechanism 6, an origin detecting part 6b for detecting the position of the origin of the horizontally reciprocating mechanism 6, a controlling part 11-1 for controlling rotation of the driving part 6a, an operating part 12, one or more sets of equipment 14-1 having the above components as one set and the likes 14-2-14-n and one or more computers 13-1-13-n connected to the controlling parts 11-1-11-n via communication cables.
