PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply, easily, effectively and efficiently folding and forming a biodegradable resin-treated thin plate material. SOLUTION: The method for folding and forming the biodegradable resin- treated thin plate material comprises the steps of steaming the biodegradable resin-treated thin plate material 1 to a soft material containing warm water, holding and fixing a base surface 12 and folding a folded surface 13 while heating the entirety, continuously heating in the folded state to evaporate the contained moisture, further heating and nipping the inner and outer surfaces of the surface 12 and the surface 13, and then cooling them.
