PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating method of recovered sand, with which a compactibility value of the recovered sand can be made to a desired value in comparative easiness with a simple structure, in the treating method of the recovered sand obtained by recovering after shaking out green sand from a mold, with a batch type kneading machine. SOLUTION: The compactibility value and moisture value in the recovered sand are measured during kneading the recovered sand with the batch type kneading machine and the moisture value in the succeeding recovered sand is estimated based on these measured values. The large amount of water as much as possible is poured into the succeeding recovered sand as a first pouring water based on this estimated moisture value.
