PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod improved in operability through securing the turning of a mounting element in the circumferential direction of a grip and preventing the movement of the mounting element in the longitudinal direction of the grip and also designed to avoid the projection of the mounting element from the surface of the grip. SOLUTION: This fishing rod has a mounting element for mounting a butt rope and a fishhook; wherein the mounting element is set up turnably but axially immovably on an annular recess provided on a grip in the rear of the fishing rod and may be detachable from the annular recess.
