PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily and stably carry a work to a correct position. SOLUTION: This transfer device is constituted by connecting a horizontal reciprocating moving body 4 and a transfer bar 15 to each other free to relatively displace in the vertical direction through a linear guide track member 16 and a guiding body 50 to be guided by this linear guide track member 46, forming four lines of linear guide grooves at least on the linear guide track member 46, forming endless guide grooves corresponding to each of the linear guide grooves on the guiding body 50, arranging a large number of rolling bodies in a row on them and positioning these rolling bodies in a large number straddling over endless groove parts and linear groove parts existing between opposed surfaces of the linear guide track member and the guiding body.
