PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a drag amount of a main lip in turn-back working of a reciprocating shaft at top and bottom dead centers and to make maneuverability excellent. SOLUTION: In this oil seal 1 for the reciprocating shaft provided with the main lip 3 and a sub lip 4, a distance H between a tip of the main lip 3 and a tip of the sub lip 4 is set between interference S1 of the main lip 3 against a shaft and 2.5 times the interference. Interference S2 of the sub lip 4 against the shaft is set between 0.6 and 0.9 times the interference S1 of the main lip. |
