PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel pressure sensor trouble diagnosing device to diagnose the trouble of a fuel pressure sensor itself instantaneously only by the output value of the fuel sensor without erroneous diagnosis when, during starting of an engine, the engine is incapable of excellently starting due to the trouble of the fuel pressure sensor. SOLUTION: When an engine cooling water temperature during starting of an engine or a detecting value of a fuel temperature is lower (by, for example, 10 deg.C or more) compared with a memory value of an engine cooling water temperature or a fuel temperature, it is capable of being decided that a fuel pressure in a common rail, namely, a common rail pressure is equivalent to an atmosphere pressure. This constitution decides that a fuel pressure sensor 44 is failed in operation when the current output voltage of a fuel pressure sensor itself is a value, (for example, 2V) being abnormally higher than a common rail pressure. |
