PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regenerating a mixed bed type sugar solution purification device charged with a strongly acidic cation exchange resin and a basic anion exchange resin, by which an amphoteric organic substance, such as an amino acid, caught on the strongly acidic cation exchange resin can efficiently be detached to prevent its leakage in the treated sugar solution. SOLUTION: An alkali regeneration agent A is allowed to pass through a strongly acidic cation exchange resin 4 and a basic anion exchange resin 3 to regenerate the basic anion exchange resin and further detach an amphoteric organic substance, such as an amino acid, caught on the strongly acidic cation exchange resin. Then, an acid regeneration agent B is allowed to pass through the strongly acidic cation exchange resin to regenerate the strongly acidic cation exchange resin. |
