PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regulating a printer in which variation in the print quality can be suppressed among printers. SOLUTION: A printer performs test print with a test print signal corresponding to a reference gray (Step S11). An inspector or a user determines a correction signal based on the shift of print density from the reference gray obtained from the print results (Step S12). Using a correction data table stored in an ROM, the printer reads out correction data corresponding to the correction signal and stores the correction data in an RAM (Step S13). The printer corrects a print signal transmitted at the time of print operation based on the correction data before starting print operation. Consequently, shift of print density is reduced among printers and the print quality is arranged. |
