PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throttle control device which can close a throttle valve at the time of failure with a simple structure. SOLUTION: This throttle control device has a first power source 60 for supplying actuation current to a motor 20, and a common power source 70 for supplying actuation current to a rotational angle sensor 19 and a reset mechanism. A circuit of the power source can be commonly used by the rotational angle sensor 19 and the reset mechanism, so that a structure of a wire harness to be connected can be simplified. When a current sensing circuit 55 senses absence of current, an operation signal of ON is input to an electromagnetic driving part 52. Abutment of a fixation pin 53 and a fixation end 56 is released. The fixation end 56 is rotationally moved by energizing force of a spring 51 and abutted against a fixation pin of a gear rotating together with a throttle shaft 12, for closing a throttle valve 13. It is thus possible to safely stop intake of an engine.
