The ribbed-belt is for loosely joining, fastening or packing hardware. Along at least one surface of the belt a series of ribs or knobs runs along its longitudinal axis. The half-sections of the discrete ribs lie at 90 degrees to the direction of the belt and are inclined in mirror-image formation to the line of symmetry that runs parallel to the direction of the belt. A specif. profile tube is produced by extrusion pressing and is cut, when fed in the cooled region, by a rotary knife into a strip with ribs inclined to the direction of the strip. |
