Initially, the components are treated in an alkali liquid at a temp. of about 80 to 150 degrees C and then, the alkali is rinsed in the neutral or weakly acidic liquid. They are then briefly heat treated in a liquid or gaseous medium, or sotred at room temp. for a longer period, before the surface is coated. More partic. the alkaline liquid used is an alkaline soln. and/or alcohol amine and/or their mixtures with poly-alcohols. |
