PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing emulsion formation in cleaning a solution of reaction product with an aqueous detergent, extremely shortening a production time and improving a yield when an alicyclic skeleton-containing acrylic compound is produced by an esterification reaction between an alicyclic skeleton-containing diol and (meth)acrylic acid. SOLUTION: In producing the alicyclic skeleton-containing acrylic compound is produced by reacting the alicyclic skeleton-containing diol with (meth)acrylic acid in the presence of a solvent, a solvent-insoluble substance is removed from the solution of the reaction product and then the water system is subjected to cleaning treatment.
