PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing scale in rolling oil by which the metal scale in the rolling oil is removed rapidly and surely without settling and depositing the metal scale in the bottom part of a recovered oil tank. SOLUTION: In this method for removing the scale in the rolling oil in the return tank of the rolling oil, the scale removal is performed dividing it into two stages and, as its 1st stage, the metal scale which is apt to settle is settled and removed in an auxiliary tank and, after that, as the 2nd stage, fine metal scale is removed by carrying out filtration with a filter.
