PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silencer for an industrial plant having such systems that increased noises are damped, with costs reduced, and not bulky largely. SOLUTION: An air treating plant includes gas ventilation for exhaust gas connected to means 50 for damping noises generated by exhaust gas. The noise damping means 50 is provided with an external enclosure 52 which is substantially sealed, and which is at least partially buried. This invention is especially applied to a plant for separating air by a pressure swing adsorption method.
