PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile seat capable of supporting a head part properly, by moving forward a head rest in case of a rear-end collision and by stopping it precisely at a prescribed movement-limiting position, with a simple and inexpensive formation. SOLUTION: A journalled bracket 5 for supporting movably forward and backward a head rest support frame 11 having a head rest mounted on its upper part is installed on a seat back frame 2, and a pressure receiving part 20 for receiving a load applied on a lower part of the head rest support frame 11 from the front of a seat back 1, and a stopper 9 for stopping further rotation of the head rest support frame 11 in the state where the head rest is rotated forward at a prescribed distance is installed on the journalled bracket 5 for supporting movably the head rest support frame 11.
