PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the suction port body of a vacuum cleaner capable of increasing the rotary torque of a rotary cleaning body rotated by an intake flow by simple constitution. SOLUTION: A case body 24 for sectioning a suction chamber 31 housing the rotary cleaning body 121 where a suction port 30 is opened on a lower surface is constituted of a lower case 21 and an upper case 22. A planar eaves part 39 projected forward is provided on the front end part of the upper case 22. An intake port 45 is opened between the eaves part 39 and the front part of the lower case 21 and an intake air passage 46 provided with a center axis A crossed with a floor surface 6 at an angleθ1 to be the tangent of the rotation track B of the rotary cleaning body 121 and communicating with the suction chamber 31 is provided. The lower surface of the upper case 22 is inclined and formed so that the angle formed by the tangent C at a position in a shortest distance from the rotary cleaning body 121 with the floor surface 6 isθ2 smaller than the angleθ1. The intake flow from the intake port 45 is distributed through the intake air passage 46 inclined at the angleθ1, a flowing direction is converted on the lower surface of the upper case 22, it is continuously blown to the rotary cleaning body 121 for a long time and the rotary torque is increased.
