PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic for the hair of which the active ingredient, e.g. a coloring component for hair dyeing, a pigment precursor the hair dyeing, a keratin-reducing agent, an agent for giving pliability to the hair, an agent for hair for giving elasticity stiffness or the like, is permeated rapidly and in a sufficient amount into the internal of the hair and permits strongly exhibiting the action effect of the active ingredient when used in various uses as a hair dyeing agent, a hair deforming (a curl treatment), an agent for the hair for giving elasticity and stiffness, an agent for giving pliability, shampoo, hair conditioner or the like. SOLUTION: This cosmetic for hair is obtained by including at least one kind of the compounds shown by the general formula (1) (wherein, R is (a) atom, (b) a 1-10C straight chain, branched chain or cyclic alkyl or alkenyl group, (c) an aryl group or (d) a 1-10C straight chain, branched chain or cyclic alkyl or alkenyl group bearing one or more kinds of substituents selected from the group consisting of aryl group, hydroxyl group, ether group, amide group, carbonyl group and carboxyl group in the main or side chain) as permeation accelerator in a proportion of 0.1-50 wt.%.
