PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper folding device having a short transporting path, capable of heightening the processing speed in paper folding, and requiring small plane space to ensure easy installing work and handling. SOLUTION: Sheets of paper 8 taken in from a receipt part 21 to a transporting path 25a are transported in the direction perpendicular to the take-in direction when viewed from the plane, fed to a paper folding part 23 to be folded thereby, and sent out.
