METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SEVERING PERFORATION ON ARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which can severe perforations on a corrugated board box. SOLUTION: The apparatus for severing perforations on an article comprises a first retractable severing member 26 and an opposite second retractable severing member 28, and these members apply impact onto perforations 12 of a perforated cover. The retractable severing members 26 and 28 are constructed so as to come close to or separate from each other along a common axis. The article is positioned within a plane which is virtually perpendicular against the movement of the severing members 26 and 28, and thereby the severing members 26 and 28 come into contact engagedly with the article.
