PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent leakage of ink from an ink channel. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording head comprises a base plate 301, a pull-out plate 305 being bonded onto at least one side of the base plate 301 to form a plurality of ink channels 412-417, an inlet plate 307, a channel plate 309, a diaphragm 401, and a nozzle plate 303 having a plurality of nozzles for ejecting ink from the plurality of ink channels. The base plate 301 and the pull-out plate 305 being bonded directly thereto are bonded to the nozzle plate such that the joint face thereof intersects the plane of the nozzle plate where the plurality of nozzles are formed. The inlet plate 307, the channel plate 309, and the diaphragm 401 not bonded directly to the base plate are spaced apart from the nozzle plate 303.
