PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book with a book cover, with which the non-unsealing of the book is confirmed and its stand-up reading is checked and, at the same time, its once unsealing can easily be recognized. SOLUTION: A separation layer 202 is provided on the base material layer 201 of the bookcover 2 and, in addition, a printing layer 203 is formed on the top surfaces of the separation layer 202 and of the base material layer 201. Further, the top surfaces, on which the printing layer is formed, are covered with a protective layer 204. The front surfaces or the front surface and a rear surface of the book covers formed as above are bonded together through a bonding body 3. Accordingly, when a separation is intended, the separation develops at the interface between the separation layer 202 and the printed layer 203 or between the separation layer 202 and the protective layer 204, resulting in developing no re-bonding between the layers. Thus, the un-sealing state of the book can be easily judged. In addition, the stand-up reading in an over-the-counter sale is checked. Further, when the separation of the book cover occurs once, the separation can easily be recognized visually.
